Introducing Michael Weusten

Originally with an extensive engineering trade background, Michael has held senior management positions within the engineering sector throughout New Zealand where he has undertaken a number of projects to set up and enhance company structures and operating systems.

Responsibilities have encompassed the preparation of strategic plans, budgets and company reports; monitoring company cost center performances; human resource management; major upgrading of administrative systems; moderation and assessment; the introduction and training of staff in T.Q.M.; health and safety systems and practices; and company certification to both ISO 9002 and 9001.

Michael has a passion for, commitment to, and proven history of successfully leading and working in teams with a sound and robust ability to effectively identify underlying issues and the skills and capability to identify opportunities and solutions to problems with a “buy in” by those affected.

Over the last eleven years Michael has developed strong governance skills, currently serving on a number of trading companies and “Not for Profit” boards . He is also the owner of several successful small businesses (SME’s).

Michael’s specialties include operational management, health and safety, human resources, business systems, risk management and governance.

Michael is currently involved in a number of directorships.
